We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC-R Technician to join their team in Gisborne.
The Role
Step into a dynamic and rewarding role as a HVAC-R Technician, where you'll be the driving force behind the installation, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll also coordinate projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, health and safety compliance, and effective team management. Key Responsibilities:
- This role is based in Gisborne, the successful candidate will service a broad client base around the region.
- Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Perform installations for domestic, light commercial, and industrial systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and identify faults for timely repairs.
- Collect and record data for reports, quotations, and system tracking.
- Manage project plans and ensure tasks are completed to expected standards.
- Mentor apprentices to support their growth and learning.
Your Profile:
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- NZ Registration with a practicing license or EST (A&B) license (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of working autonomously while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Current and clean NZ Driver’s License.
- Hourly rate: $40–$45 per hour + overtime rates.
