About the Company

This terrific WA civil contracting business is growing and has considerable commercial land development and residential subdivision projects “south-of-the-river” in Perth from Piara Waters to Australind. Their specialist areas of expertise includes the construction of earthworks, drainage, civils, underground utilities (fire/water/sewer) and retaining walls for land development projects. They are now looking for a high-calibre 2IC OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR to join their team in a roving capacity across their southern region projects.

About the Role

This is a permanent OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR position where you will be working 5 days/week Monday to Friday and typically 7.00am to 5.00pm daily, acting as 2IC to the business owner. You will be required to plan your days and visit project teams across several sites that are being delivered concurrently, to provide guidance and motivate teams to promote productivity. The OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR’s  responsibilities will involve planning, coordinating and allocating resources (plant, equipment & personnel) and overseeing daily construction activity on sites. You will ensure your crews adhere to the site OH&S management plan to drive an injury free safety culture and ensure quality assurance standards are achieved. As the successful OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR you will be offered a superb base salary of CIRCA $170K + Super & work vehicle , with an IMMEDIATE START available!

Experience, Qualifications and Skills Requirements

• 5+ years’ OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR or Civil/Site Supervisor experience on West Australian civil sector including earthworks, drainage, utilities and road construction while employed by Civil Contractors
• Proven success as a CIVIL/ OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR managing civil construction teams and effective utilization of plant and equipment to achieve project milestones on land development and residential subdivisions
• Excellent safety record on your past projects
• Excellent all-round communication skills to liaise with client contacts, lead teams successfully, and motivate subcontractors
• Currently residing in Perth’s southern suburbs for logistical reasons, with existing rights to live and work in Australia
• Current WA C Class driver’s licence
