As the Estimator, you'll take the lead in preparing accurate and competitive pricing for commercial plumbing and drainage projects across the South Island. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers and directors to deliver timely, detailed estimates that strike the right balance between competitiveness and commercial return. You will also:

• Review plans, specifications, and scope to prepare plumbing and drainage estimates
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source competitive, up-to-date pricing
• Identify value engineering opportunities and construction efficiencies
• Prepare clear, well-structured tenders and support post-tender negotiations
• Maintain estimating tools, cost databases, and tender tracking

• Proven experience in plumbing or drainage estimating (or a related trade background)
• Strong understanding of NZ construction standards, codes, and coordination practices
• Great communication skills - you’re confident with suppliers, site teams, and clients
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software such as simPRO or similar
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids and timelines
