About the Role:
Location:
Central North Island
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour (experience dependant)
Hours:
Monday to Friday (40+ hours)
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret workshop plans and identify weld symbols.
- Position, align, and tack-weld components.
- Set up welding machines and control distortion.
- Ensure welding meets QA/QC standards.
- Safely operate gantry cranes and check equipment.
- Participate in maintenance shutdowns and site work.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain quality and teamwork in all tasks.
- Trade Certificate or recognised as a time-served tradesperson.
- ASME IX welding qualification or ability to qualify.
- Experience in plant maintenance, construction, or steel erection.
- Ability to read and interpret construction/workshop drawings.
