Team Leader – Concrete Division (Reinforcement & Boxing)

The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage multiple concrete construction projects focusing on reinforcement & boxing works. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of the projects on time and within budget whilst ensuring safety, quality and compliance are upheld to the highest standards. The role will be part of a small leadership team reporting to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Liaison with engineers, architects, technical and trade workers ensuring alignment with project specifications
  • As the primary point of contact for clients, provide clear and consistent communication with the main contractor addressing any concerns and providing regular updates on project progress
  • Develop detailed and comprehensive project plans, schedule forecasting and budgets
  • Plan and allocate resources for multiple projects
  • Oversee site activities and quality of work
  • Lead and supervise the site teams including engineers and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with Operations and QS team, maintain accurate reporting regarding invoicing, variations, project timelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and/or operation challenges promptly
  • Ensure all safety concerns, incidents or issues are reported on and recorded 
  • Inspect and approve completed work ensuring high quality standards
You will be / have:
  • Background in the building sector coming up through the tools
  • Ability to read drawings and have a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials and regulations (ideally within the concrete industry)
  • Proven experience in a construction leadership role, managing multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Proficient with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera and CAD software)
  • Collaborative approach and team orientated, the type of person that would get stuck in yourself to support your team 
  • Well organised, with excellent time management skills
  • Strong work and safety ethic
  • Ability to work flexible hours to ensure projects are completed within deadlines
  • Able to travel overnight occasionally
  • Posses a clean and current drivers licence
