The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to join our client's energetic Project Management Delivery: Infrastructure / Horizontal team in Wellington. In this role, you will oversee projects, manage client relationships, and lead teams to ensure high-quality delivery and client satisfaction. You will also be instrumental in guiding and developing the team, providing clear direction, and fostering a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Lead and manage project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget whilst identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks to achieve successful outcomes.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and objectives, maintaining strong relationships and implement project management plans tailored to clients' requirements.
- Prepare and present technical papers at industry events to showcase the company's expertise.
- Support business development efforts, including client meetings, proposal preparation, and tender submissions
Candidate Profile:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in the industry.
- Experience managing infrastructure projects valued at $40 million or more.
- Roles in design management, team management, or team director, focusing on infrastructure projects.
- Desirable experience in water, road, or rail projects, and an established client network within the Wellington region and local councils.
- Excellent communication skills and strong commercial acumen, with experience in managing project financials and performance.
