Their refreshing approach to construction management and project delivery has led to a successful string of FRP and structures projects for public sector and mining clients. To continue their quest for more projects and ongoing success, they are now keen to appoint a Senior Estimator
to their team in Perth.
About the Role:
As Senior Estimator
within this business, you will take full responsibility for leading the preparation of “first principles estimates” mainly for large FRP concrete packages ($5-40M) for cast insitu foundations & footings, bridge structures, minesite structures (ie, crushers, reclaim tunnels etc), dam and water treatment plants and defence construction projects or similar in Western Australia. You will be required to work autonomously to pull together accurate bid pricing and use your proven estimating expertise and inventive mind to help deliver winning bids for the business. Your clients will primarily be Main Roads WA, blue chip mining companies and head contractors undertaking large civil, mining or industrial infrastructure projects throughout WA. A standard 40 hour work week will apply while based at the Perth office located north of the river.
Skills, Experience and Other Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years’ FRP/Concrete/Structures estimating experience for civil contractors in Australia
- Advanced “first principle” estimating ability using EXPERT Estimation
- Proven track record as Estimator/ Senior Estimator for civil contractors pricing/winning civil, industrial, defence and minesite civil projects involving heavy cast insitu concrete/FRP structures valued $5-40M+
- Ability to prepare fully compliant and complete tender estimates autonomously from scratch
- Excellent all-round communication skills and ability to lead a team
- High attention to detail and excellent literacy and numeracy
- Perth based with existing rights to live and work in Australia
