As a Procurement Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring all purchases are made efficiently and cost-effectively. You will work closely with multiple departments to identify procurement needs, develop strategies, and implement
effective procurement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders, ensuring alignment with business expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and forecast demand.
- Develop collaborative supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely deliveries.
- Ensure timely completion of workflow activities and expedite critical or overdue items.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Educate vendors on procurement processes and policies.
- Run reports, analyse data, and take action to ensure on-time material deliveries and supplier payments.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues or escalations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply department.
- 3-5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favourable supplier agreements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
- Experience with ERP systems or e-procurement platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with site standards
