About the role

They are currently looking for skilled pipe welders to join their team for projects across the Central North Island and contribute to delivering exceptional industrial solutions in a safe and continuously improving work environment.
  
Pipe Welders are responsible for joining and repairing tubular products and metallic pipe components and assemblies as part of the construction of buildings, vessels, structures, and stand-alone pipelines. Projects will be in Kawerau, Tokoroa, and Taupo.
  
Duties

  • Correctly interpret ISO pipe plans
  • Welding and aligning pipes together meeting QA/QC standards
  • Control or minimise welding distortion
  • Use gas cutting, bevelling, and angle grinding tools correctly
  • Participate in shutdowns and site work when required
  • Co-operate with H&S policies and procedures

Skills & experience
  • Experience welding pipes meeting trade standards
  • Trade certificate or experience as a tradesman, ASME IX Welding Qualification, or ability to pass qualification
  • Experience in plant maintenance, construction, or steel erection
  • Valid Site Safe
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to read and interpret drawings
