This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join an internal HR team working temporarily for a well-known and respected mining organisation.
About the Role:
You will be involved in both operational and strategic HR. This role will suit someone who has prior mining recruitment experience and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Duties:
- Provide advice and high level support on all HR/ER
queries to the leadership team and employees - Conduct workplace investigations and manage complaints in
compliance with legislation, and in
accordance with internal HR procedures - Assist leaders to ensure disciplinary action is delivered in
compliance with policy and legislation, and in
accordance with internal HR procedures - Partner with leadership to implement HR initiatives
- Participate in meetings with client groups and internal
stakeholders - Liaise with the Injury Management team to manage long term
absences and WCOMP cases - Complete ad-hoc reporting as required to identify trends and
implement strategies to address emerging or potential issues
The successful candidate will have experience in HR be a fast learner with a sense of urgency who thrives under pressure and demonstrates initiative. To be considered for this role you must have:
- Experience in a similar role essential to have experience within the mining, oil & gas or related blue collar industries
- Proven experience in supporting volume recruitment campaigns
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan ahead
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude
- Strong attention to detail
