As a part of their expansion in their business, they have partnered with us here at Stellar to identify an outstanding candidate for a permanent role as a Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Officer.
The role:
Playing a pivotal part in establishing and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment; this role will deliver specialised capabilities across risk management, reporting, and QA methods aligning with GD05.
Other role responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:
- Supporting the development, implementation, and review of Health & Safety Manuals, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance
- Facilitating H&S management audits
- Managing risk identification, assessment, and control processes
- Overseeing incident reporting and investigations
- Serving as a point of contact for health and safety across projects
- Preparation of comprehensive H&S reports
- Running management meetings and staff communication
To be successful:
- A tertiary qualification in any discipline which aligns with the role, industry, or health and safety
- Proven work experience in construction, preferably on site
- Excellent interpersonal skills across all methods of communication
- Flexibility to work in NZ without restriction (Citizenship, visa, or residency)
- Ability to pass a criminal check
