About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Class 5 Truck Driver to join the team and operate a Class 5 Truck with a surveying tool. In this role, you will collect data on New Zealand’s road pavement conditions, collecting information to support maintenance planning across the country.
Working alongside another team member, you will alternate between driving and operating the system software from the passenger seat. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate data collection and maintaining the system's functionality.
This position requires a work schedule of three weeks on, followed by one week off, working six days a week at various locations throughout New Zealand. Travel to Australia may also be required.
Main Duties:
- Operating a Class 5 truck throughout New Zealand collecting data
- Data processing and checking of survey information.
- Operating in the field 20 days of the month, typically on a 3-week roster. This role requires driving for at least 10 hours per day, 6 days per week.
- Competitive salary - $36-$40 p/h
- Daily meal allowance - $85
