Paul has a strong connection with Dunedin having attended Kings High School and playing for Southland, Otago, the Highlanders and the All Blacks. Paul has connections across the motu through his involvement within the sporting communities, local high schools and previously with Aukaha which focuses on delivering iwi-led services across Papatipu Rūnaka.
